These statements, on forms approved by the National Association of Insurance Commissioners, provide information which presents a true and complete exhibit of the financial conditions and the character and methods of each company or society and include such items as assets and liabilities, capital and surplus, claim reserves, gain and loss, dividends, expenses, investments, solvency, amount of political contributions, lobbying expenses, and legal costs.
